What’s the shelf life of opened hydration tablets, and how should I store them?
Unopened tubes last 18-24 months. Once opened, use within 30-45 days for optimal effervescence and potency. Store in an airtight container with a fresh desiccant packet, away from heat and humidity. Never store tablets in your garage gym if temperatures exceed 80°F (27°C). The bathroom is the worst storage location due to shower humidity. A cool, dark kitchen cabinet is ideal. Crumbly or slow-dissolving tablets have degraded—don’t use them for important sessions.
